Istituto Marangoni was founded in 1935 in Milan as 'Istituto Artistico dell’Abbigliamento Marangoni’, and has been a top educational choice for creatives in the worlds of fashion, art and design for 90 years.

Strong connections with the top players in the fashion industry have always been one of the great assets to benefit an education path at Istituto Marangoni across all campuses, and in 2024 employability rate from 89% to 91%. Most notably, the London campus has seen a remarkable surge, with employability soaring to 96%—an impressive 11% jump from last year, surpassing local competitors.

With four generations of students from across five continents, Istituto Marangoni has been the launchpad for over 45,000 professionals in the global luxury and fashion industries. Its alumni network includes some of the most influential names in design and entrepreneurship, such as Alessandro Sartori (Zegna), Gilda Ambrosio (The Attico), Nicola Brognano (Blumarine), Marco Capaldo (16Arlington), and rising talent Dario Vitale, now creative director at Versace. Other notable graduates include, Rahul Mishra - who was offered to be a Mentor for Fashion Design courses at Istituto Marangoni London in 2025 - Francesca Nicoletti, Felipe Fiallo, Rocco Iannone and Franco Moschino—testament to the school’s legacy of nurturing creativity, innovation, and global vision in fashion, design, and luxury.

The London School has a strong 2025 National Student Survey outcome, with an overall positivity score of 86.6% and a 84% response rate. These results reflect a consistently high level of student satisfaction and engagement across key areas of the academic experience.

 

The biggest lesson that I learnt in Istituto Marangoni London is the base of tailoring. It’s really impossible to become a designer without the base, and as Rick Owens said “learn how to do clothes.”
